Report on an Ordinance entitled
An Ordinance to amend the Military Stores (Exportation)
Ordinance, 1862.
This Ordinance was introduced in compliance with instruc- tions contained in the Imperial Defence Committee, Secret Memorandum No. 470 H, as there had been no legislation in the Colony corresponding to the Exportation of Arms Act, 1900.
The opportunity was taken to restore Section 2 of the Principal Ordinance to the form in which it existed up till
last year,
which seems preferable to that adopted by the Editor of the Revised Edition of the Laws of Hongkong.
In my opinion this is an Ordinance to which His Excellency the Governor may properly assent in the name of His Majesty
and on His behalf.
Attorney General.
